Random Acts of Violence

It had been snowing all weekend long in New York City, and Stupid Girl had been romancing the idea of the snow coupled with Chinese Food and late nights spent with classic movies. But the reality of the snow hit hard one Saturday evening as Stupid Girl was walking home after working her long brunch shift at the restaurant. After she had received an assault from a passing taxi cab in the form of slush slapped across her weary legs, Stupid Girl decided that it would be best to keep her eyes on the ground to prevent any further unfortunate incidents with the snow. After walking a few blocks over towards Astor Place, Stupid Girl thought that it would be a kind gesture to reach in her pocket to pull out her BlackBerry and call upon her mother dear. A few rings, and a few lines of gracious conversation later, Stupid Girl found herself at the intersection of St.Marks' and 4Th Avenue. As she kept her eyes on the ice below her feet and her focus on her phone call, Stupid Girl felt a sudden slap across her face and her glasses pressed firmly into her eyeballs. 'FUCK!!!' she screamed, completely disregarding the fact that her mother was on the other end of the phone line. It seems that, while juggling the snow, the ice, the phone, and the trepidation, Stupid Girl walked face-first into a phone box on the street pole of Astor Place. Yeah... swollen eyebrows aren't sexy.
